Below are before images on the left and after photos on the right with a description of the sewing work involved.
Bridesmaids
The main alteration needed for bridesmaids is the dress length. Other tweaks can also include taking the bust and waist in, shortening the shoulders adding sewn in bra cups or fastenings to ensure bras stay hidden.

Repair Work
Bridal shop samples or second hand wedding dresses can be a great way to save costs for the wedding day. These dresses often have holes, tears missing beads or buttons which can all be fixed.
Bodice Redesign and Added Lace Sleeves
This was redesigned to a sweetheart neckline with lace hand sewn over the whole bodice. This beautiful beaded lace was added along the whole neckline front to back onto the new shoulder, armholes and sleeve additions. A totally different dress style that the bride felt more comfortable and confident wearing!

Nipped in Waist
This beautiful 50's style dress was taken in a lot at the waist and push up bra cups were also sewn. I sourced a lovely rose gold crystal belt for the bride to match her bag and hand stitched it to the waist to finish this look.
Zip to a Corset
This dress was redesigned from a zip with buttons to a corset using carefully matched fabrics. This alteration was needed to make the dress 1-2 sizes bigger which is a great option for letting out the dress and also becoming an adjustable fastening.

Train Reduction
Large wedding dress trains are not for everyone. This train was carefully measured and cut to half the size. The layers were then attached together creating the perfectly neat folds keeping the train tidy all day.
Neckline Change
This dress was taken in at the waist for a lovely fit with the crystal belt hand sewn in place. The neckline was then altered from a high curve to a low V neck. To achieve a perfect finish the lace was also repositioned and sewn on the new neckline symetrically.

Outside Bustle
A bustle is a fastening added to your wedding dress hooking up the train off the floor making it easier for dancing in the evening. This simple outside style is the most popular as it still displays the train details and is very easy to use.
Sleeves Removal
Redesigns often include removing features of a dress to make it feel more you. The long sleeves were not just simply chopped out but the shoulder straps narrowed to a more delicate style and the lace edging carefully positioned to finish the new strap edges perfectly.
