Why Bespoke?
If you are a bride looking for something unique or wanting to wear a design that is exactly your vibe, then bespoke is the answer you have been searching for! With over 10 years of experience and having studied fashion and costume at degree level, you can be confident in my ability to bring your bridal vision to life. Every bespoke piece is created with great attention to detail, using only the highest quality fabrics and couture techniques. I can also create boleros, capes, tops, over skirts and veils in your chosen style. Fabrics and details can also be carefully sourced for a perfect match to your existing dress.
The Process
Bespoke work starts with a no obligation design consultation and free quotes. A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking, with further payments to order in final fabrics. A full mock up of your chosen final design is created to your exact measurements. This is your design in 3D using cheaper fabrics to check the style, fit etc on you in person. Any changes are made from this mock up and the final fabrics are ordered and cut. Your dress in final fabrics is nearly complete! With 2-4 follow up fittings I will pin in place any detailing with you so that you have a say in the whole design. In total the 4-6 appointments allow me to perfect the fit of your dress, meaning you leave with the most flattering and comfortable wedding dress possible.

Pricing
No bespoke design is the same, every piece is made using your ideas and exact size, something truly individual to treasure forever. Guide prices can be sent via email, please let me know your ideas and wedding date to check availability. Bespoke wedding dresses require many hours of work so only a few spaces a year are open for these, once filled I am booked up for bespoke commissions for that year. This is to ensure my full attention is given to each and every bride to deliver a high standard of work. Bespoke wedding dresses are from £2,000, bespoke tops/boleros from £400. Prices include fabrics and fittings. Slight changes to my existing veil range will be an extra charge and fully bespoke veils are quoted per design, from £100.

Terms & Conditions
The 25% deposit is non refundable and full payment is due before the finished dress goes home with you. Bespoke garments are made to measure and therefore cannot be returned or exchanged, once fabrics are ordered these are also non refundable. Change in fabrics means the extra cost of these fabrics. Minor tweaks in the design finishes and detailing will not incur an extra charge and I encourage you to have a say along the way. Major changes to the final design or additions and tweaks after work has been complete will result in extra charges. These charges will be worked out based on the time it will take to complete. This also applies to weight gain or loss and pregnancy if not previously mentioned, resulting in major alterations being carried out. ChantelleSophia is not responsible for any damage to the dress once it has been collected from the workroom.
FAQ's
When should I book in?
Ideally at least 6 months before the wedding with most brides booking in around a year before. Last minute is possible depending on my bookings at at that time and the complexity of the design.
Do you have a range of dresses I can try on?
No, each bespoke dress is totally unique and made to fit each bride.
How many hours does it take to make a wedding dress?
This varies massively depending on how intricate the detailing and finishes are, how simple or complicated the main dress and the number of layers and fullness of the dress. Anything from 40 hours - 200 hours!
FAQ's
What happens if I change my mind?
I spend many hours ensuring the final design is perfect for you and exactly your style and ideas. At least 10 design variations are illustrated in the first stage so you can easily choose your favourite. The mock up allows a chance to see this design in 3D before anything is finalised.
How do I know what fabric to choose?
Based on the final design and style of the dress I will advise the right type of fabric to create this. The exact shade, look and feel of the fabric is up to you! Out of thousands of fabrics to choose from I will gather a selection to browse in your chosen colour. If you are not 100% certain about your fabric choice from the small sample, a larger sample or full cut piece can be ordered in for you.

What if I change size?
Communication is key! If you are planning on loosing weight or are pregnant please let me know early on. This way I can advise the best options and possibly allow for these changes. Fittings in your bespoke dress are for me to tweak the dress creating a perfect fit, so any minor sizing changes can be easily rectified. Extra charges will apply to drastic changes such as 2-3 dress sizes meaning major alterations.
I have no idea what dress I want, can you design one for me?
Bespoke is for brides looking for something truly unique whether that's an untraditional dress or setting a brand new trend. For others their dream dress is vivid in their mind but they just cannot find exactly what they want in the shops. I can guide you when it comes to designing and what suits you but I can't tell you the styles you love or the dress shapes, colours, details that you feel confident and beautiful wearing.
FAQ's
Can you copy a designer garment?
No. I cannot and will not sew a copy of an existing item. Please send me images from Pinterest or google for inspiration purposes only.
I'm overseas will you post to me?
Bespoke dresses will only be created for brides that are available for appointments in person. Veils are the exception and can be posted.
What if I need to change a fitting?
My studio is on the side of my home so if you need to rearrange a fitting you can but please give me at least 48 hours notice.
Can I bring guests to appointments?
Yes of course. I recommend only 1 guest so that you are not overwhelmed with too many extra opinions at the design stage.
